Happy New Year - welcome back after the break! We hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas holiday and are ready for the challenges this term will bring!
It is vital that you continue to read every day (discussing your reading with teachers in school or parents at home); learn weekly spellings and endeavour to use the words in your writing; and continue to practise your multiplication tables (and inverse division facts) - use your log-in/password to compete against children all over the world via the TTRockstars website. We will provide you with details of websites that will help you consolidate your class work - if you discover a brilliant website or resource and would like to let others know - tell us and we may include it here.
Details of the subjects for each term can be found on the Curriculum pages - please feel free to see Mrs.Pearson if there are any queries. Together, we will begin 2017 reading 'Skellig' by David Almond. Everyone will be provided with their own copy of the book and will be expected to complete the set reading at home.
Spelling lists for weekly tests can now be found on the Spellodrome website - you have all been provided with logins/passwords. In the Homework section below, there are also plenty of suggested titles to encourage the children to read at home. The 'In Class' section has a copy of the weekly timetable. Homework Club will continue every Wednesday from 3.15-4pm, where a member of staff will be available to help with any queries or problems.
If you need to speak to me, please use my email address - T.Pearson@helmdon.org - or pop in to the classroom before the start of the school day.
