This week you will read a text with instructional elements; learn about imperative verbs in instructional texts; use conjunctions to link ideas in sentences; know how to lay-out an instructional text; write a simple instructional text. Then you will read a short fiction text and distinguish between the simple and progressive forms of the past tense.
Finally read poetry; locate rhyming words in a poem; write sentences containing conjunctions; identify nouns and adjectives; write sentences containing expanded noun phrases.
Spelling test 8th June - homophones
sea , see, hear, here, one, won, to, too, two, blue, blew.
I usually give this test in the form of short sentences to ensure the correct spelling is used.
