Calling all families to register for Free School Meals
£50 Learning Voucher offer
We continue to offer all families a £50 Learning Voucher to be spent on books, uniform or stationery when you sign up for Free School Meals (FSMs). Whilst all parents will be aware that children in Reception, Years 1 and 2 automatically qualify for Universal Infant Free School Meals (uiFSMs), any child in the school may be eligible for a broader Free School Meal allowance if you or your partner are receiving any of the following: Income Support, Income based Job Seekers Allowance, Income related Employment and Support Allowance, Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999,Child Tax Credit, with no element of Working Tax Credit, and a household income below £16,190 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs), Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit, Universal Credit
To clarify, the £50 Learning Voucher offer only applies to children who would benefit from the broader Free School Meal Allowance and not to our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children who all qualify for uiFSMs. Indeed, we are trying to encourage 100% of our FSM eligible families to register their children as the school receives significant amounts of money for each registered child, which benefits both those specific children and the school community as a whole. Please rest assured that FSM eligibility is always kept completely confidential. The Learning Voucher offer is also available to our families who are already receiving FSMs; please ask at the office for more information.
