Homework

Our homework schedule

In Year 5, as well as working on grammar, spellings and times tables, it is vital that you continue to read daily and make a note of what you have read in your Reading Record. Why not make a note of any unfamiliar words you come across, or perhaps any questions or plot predictions? This would show me that you have been reading - you don't always need an adult to sign as proof.

  • Monday - Times tables knowledge and speed will be tested on a grid. Practise your skills regularly on TTRockstars.
  • Tuesday - Grammar homework will be set on a Tuesday and due back by the following Tuesday.
  • Wednesday - enjoy a deadline-free day! No homework due today. laugh
  • Thursday - Mrs Harvey will set weekly maths homework on Sumdog, which will be due in the following Thursday.
  • Thursday - Your Reading Record and progress in the KS2 Reading Challenge will be checked and you will be able to visit the library
  • Friday - Spellings test. We will work on spelling rules in class during the week. You can use Readiwriter to help practise the words, but if you prefer to learn them in other ways, the lists are attached above.

These documents and websites can help you with your homework
