We took our year 5 and 6 children along to enjoy a day of fun cricket activities on the county ground pitch. The day involved various throwing, catching, batting challenges along with some exciting games. The day culminated with meeting "Steeler" the official mascot and a County cricket player.

We took 40 children from year 1 and 2 along to the sports festival at Bracken Leas on Wednesday 21st June. The children were split into different countries and spent the morning in their country groups with children from other schools. Year 7 and 8 children from Magdalen College were involved in the event, acting as leaders for groups and the activities. They all had a go at lots of different activities, such as the egg and spoon race, sack race, target throwing, obstacle course and relays to name a few! Considering the heat, they all coped extremely well, joined in every event and were great ambassadors for the school. Well done to all the children.

Cricket - Chance to Shine! (Wednesday 14th June)

The Y3/4 class and the YR/1 class have been enjoying some cricket in the sunshine today, as part of Northamptonshire County Cricket club's 'Chance to Shine' programme. Coach Paul will be in school every Wednesday to deliver cricket in PE lessons for these classes until the end of the summer term. Today they were working on their batting and fielding skills. Mrs Bartlett will be repeating the skills and activities with all other classes in their PE lessons so the whole school will benefit!
