NMPAT (Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust) provides Helmdon Primary School with music teachers who attend school weekly to provide the children with expert tuition on keyboard, woodwind, brass, strings, guitar and recorders. Lessons are open to KS2 children with the exception of the recorder group which is open to children in Year 1 and above.
Parents purchase 33 NMPAT lessons per academic year and fees are payable directly to NMPAT by parents. A letter containing all the details for new starters from September 2020 can be found below. Please note that NMPAT have requested that all expressions of interest in learning a new instrument from September 2020 be registered with them by Friday 3rd July 2020.
We understand that NMPAT will contact the parents of all existing music students directly with details of how to renew the lessons from September 2020.
As a general rule, we only encourage children to learn one instrument at school with NMPAT as they have to miss lesson time to have a music lesson. If you have any queries regarding this process please email Mrs Hedley at the earliest opportunity (email@example.com).
