Our small village school is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor to support teaching and learning.  The role will include supporting children in class, delivering interventions and lunchtime supervising either in the hall or outside.

 

We would like to appoint somebody who will:

  • Have good communication, Literacy and Maths skills (preferably GCSE Grade 4 or above);
  • Be patient, caring and passionate about supporting our children;
  • Use their initiative and help deliver personalised learning;
  • Be able to challenge our children and have high expectations;
  • Have experience of working with children, preferably in a primary school setting;

 

The hours of work are 8:45am – 1.15pm for 5 days per week.  There may be some flexibility with hours, or more hours available, for the right candidate.

From Scale point 2: £22,366 per annum pro rata’d

 

Helmdon Primary School is rated as Good by Ofsted.  We currently have 105 wonderful children on roll.  We have excellent facilities and the school is set in lovely grounds.  Our children come to us from Brackley and Helmdon and other local villages.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we always follow safer recruitment practice.  An enhanced DBS check and medical clearance is required for all successful applicants and references will be requested for shortlisted applicants prior to interview. please return the Confidential Equality Monitoring Form in a separate sealed envelope.
