Helmdon Primary School Uniform information
The purpose of having a school uniform is to ensure that all pupils have a smart and tidy appearance. We believe that learning at school is a serious business and we want our pupils to understand this. Pupils attending Helmdon Primary School will require the following items:-
Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (Helmdon logo optional)
White shirt/blouse or white/royal blue polo shirt (Helmdon logo optional)
Blue and white dresses for summer (optional)
Grey or black skirt, culottes, trousers or shorts
Royal blue polo shirt (with 'Helmdon' on the back optional)
Royal blue hoodie (with 'Helmdon' on the back optional)
Navy blue PE shorts
Dark tracksuit bottoms
Plimsolls and trainers
Jewellery, other than standard watches, should not be worn. Teachers reserve the right to disallow a watch on grounds of safety. Children with pierced ears should only wear one pair of studs to school, and these must be removed by the child for P.E. and Games.
Nail varnish should not be worn at school.
Hair - natural colours only. Stripes, blocks, patterns, braids and shaved lines are not acceptable.
Children with long hair should tie their hair back.
We ask that all school clothing, including outdoor clothing and P.E. kit, be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Friends of Helmdon School (FOHS) hold regular second-hand uniform sales as they have a stock of good quality pre-owned items. Please speak to a member of the committee or ring the school office for more details as we are always happy to help.
